Virtualisation

Under Consideration

Hello development team,

for people like me witch are running a server with virtual machines would be a VM-Image from eBlocker very interresting. So we need no more hardware when we will be protectet by eBlocker.

Just my two cents,

Just a thought: I like to add that if it works in a VM environment and has a smaller impact on the network but only as a proxy setting we could add as paid service to a VDI solution.

This is more an Enterprise feature and nothing we offer at the moment.

An eBlocker Enterprise edition is on our road map, but I can't tell you when we start to work on it.

I have to disagree here. A virtualized solution is especially interesting for home users that don't want to have additional boxes flying around. For example, many folks seem to use docker on their Synology NAS servers: https://www.synology.com/de-de/dsm/app_packages/Docker.

In addition being able to run eBlocker on faster hardware would allow to improve performance.

Hi Alexander,

I think Tim's reply is to my message about making it available for business VDI environments. I think there are a lot of people that love a VM solution for performance. That is actually the reason for me to end at this topic.

Hope to hear when any of these options to are availabe.
