Software for Synology Diskstation?

Under Consideration

Are you willing to make your software available for stronger Synology NAS (DS415+) devices so i don't have to buy an extra device?

This would be very usefull!

I agree. I have a Synology box sitting doing very little for most of the time, with CPU cycles to spare. Would be great to run this on there.

I would think the same for QNAP NAS

I also have a QNAP NAS (TS-419P+) in my home network which can be a device for hosting eBlocker. Thus I also believe this is a smart idea.

I Agree, having the Software running on other devices like NAS & Router (as a seperate APP / Plugin / or whatever) will be an absolute great idea. Of course focus first to the main vendors like QNAP & SYNOLOGY or router like AVM. This will also extend your portfolio as well the market to sell and propagate the ideo / soltion.

Any news on this? I am willing to buy a lifetime license but i do not want to buy the extra device since i have a DS216+... Any new information?

I too would buy a lifetime license if you get this going on Synology devices.

Why don't you deploy a docker container with the eblocker Image running. This is very well supported on DSM 5 (even better on DSM 6) and would open up a world of potential hosts to run on.

Hm, i use the DS413+ and do not realy need it integrated into it. It would be nice, in deed.

My SynoDS config:

  • DNS active, i need this because my router does not provide NAT-LOOP, so i point from internal LAN to the SynoDS with the Mail-Domaine. This is usefull for mobile devices.
  • Proxy active
  • DHCP active

The DNS chain there is

  1. x.y.z.3 SynoDS
  2. x.y.z.1 Telekom Router

The Gateway Chain is

  1. x.y.z.2 eBlocker
  2. x.y.z.1 Telekom Router

Eblocker is in Manual Mode and no DHCP, DHCP is handled by SynoDS.

Works fine ...
